SEASON COLLECTIBLES
The McLaren Racing 23/23 Collectibles are race specific digital collectibles, created for fans to allow you to own a piece of each race from the 2023 season.
They’re powered by Tezos and brought to you by Tezos ecosystem companies. Each collectible drop is unique to one of the 23 races and can only be claimed during the time window of that race weekend! By collecting all the McLaren Racing 23/23 Collectibles (one from each race) and holding these in your wallet, at the end of the season on a specific “snapshot” date, you will have the opportunity to enter into an end of season draw with the chance to win one of the following rewards:
2x places for the holder and a guest at a race experience in 2024.
A race collectible as a 1 of 1 physical poster, signed by a McLaren Formula 1 Team driver (a total of 23 available).
A virtual meet & greet with McLaren Racing CEO, Zak Brown (a total of 23 spaces available).
The best way to collect the 23/23 Collectibles is by creating a Tezos wallet and coming back to http://collectibles.mclaren.com/ each race weekend to redeem a collectible. In case you missed any race, you can check objkt.com to purchase collectibles from other fans on the secondary market.
Yes, you still need a new wallet. We are working on making previous digital collectible programmes interoperable with this year's and rewarding our fans who engaged with us previously. Stay tuned…
Only one collectible can be claimed per wallet, per race weekend.
There will be a new collectible for each of the 23 races this season. You can claim one collectible during every race weekend.
If you hold all 23 of the McLaren F1 23/23 Digital Collectibles in your wallet as of the “snapshot” date after the last race of the season, you will have the opportunity to enter into an end of season draw with the chance to win one of the following rewards:

A race collectible as a 1 of 1 physical poster, signed by a McLaren Formula 1 Team driver (a total of 23 available).

During the season you will also have the opportunity to enter into smaller prize draws based on iconic ‘collections’ of races for the chance to receive McLaren Formula 1 Team merchandise and other exclusive rewards.
You can check out objkt.com for sales on the secondary market and add the missing item to your collection.

WEB3
Web3 is a new iteration of the internet as we know it today. In the simplest terms, it’s a decentralized network that puts more control of content, assets and even how communities are created in the hands of users. Blockchain allows for this world to be validated and secure, opening up new opportunities for how we interact online.
The Web3 infrastructure allows for the creation of communities and renewed ownership in your assets, data and digital entities- all with the benefit of security thanks to blockchain. By joining McLaren Racing’s Web3 community, fans are able to get closer to the team and get access to competitions, digital events, give aways as well as many more exclusive opportunities.
Digital Collectibles are "tokens" that live on a blockchain. They can be either "Non Fungible'' which means they will be unique, or "Fungible" meaning they are part of a supply of interchangeable tokens. In either case, tokens are minted on Tezos so that both Non Fungible Tokens and Fungible Tokens are exclusively, verifiably, and immutably identified as linked to the McLaren Racing creative content.
A blockchain is a vast, public ledger that validates transactions and information. It can also track and verify ownership of digital assets, including collectibles. Blockchains are transforming how value is exchanged in the digital world. They make cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tezos possible.
Many of the concepts that led to blockchains have been around for a long time, such as cryptography, linked lists, and distributed ledgers. However, blockchains combine them in a way that revolutionises how digital transactions can be made.
Cryptocurrency is a form of digital currency that belongs to a blockchain network or application and is not reliant on a central authority like a bank or government. They use cryptography to create new tokens, secure transactions, and verify ownership. There are many cryptocurrencies and blockchains. McLaren Racing’s digital collectibles are stored on the Tezos blockchain (one of the most energy efficient blockchains available).
Tezos is a popular, energy efficient blockchain. It’s secure, upgradable and scalable with an on-chain governance mechanism that allows anyone to vote on the future of the blockchain. These features are consistent with McLaren Racing’s wider efforts to promote environmental sustainability and continually evolve with the support of its global community.
No. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, designed as a "peer-to-peer electronic cash system." The network on which Bitcoin runs is called the Bitcoin blockchain. Now there are many different cryptocurrencies and many other blockchains – McLaren Racing’s digital collectibles are stored on the Tezos blockchain (one of the most environmentally friendly blockchains available).
McLaren Racing has selected Tezos, a more energy-efficient ‘Proof of Stake’ blockchain (versus other Proof of Work blockchains) to massively reduce energy consumption. The total annual carbon footprint of the Tezos blockchain equals the annual average energy footprint of 17 global citizens.
McLaren Racing’s officially licensed digital collectibles, powered by Tezos and brought to you by Tezos ecosystem companies, are a form of crypto asset.
